SO. I haven't updated, in awhile. A month and a half, which isn't like a year or anything. But I didn't update in October, which makes me cringe. Guilt relievage by posting then! :D
I'm not posting from my laptop, even though it's fixed! But the power cord died, so He's technically in a coma right now. Erika's taking me to the computer fixage place tomorrow so I can get him a new one. My poor Dean, always something wrong with him. I'm on the library computer right now.
I dragged Sandra with me to see the Thursday movie on campus tonight, after Thursday Night Supper with Erika at the church, but it was this weird Anime movie and she was bored. Truth be told I was a little bored too. I mean, I woulda stayed of it was just me, but I didn't want to drag it out with her there. When Amie gets back from work tonight we're all gonna watch "Hush", since we're up to it now and it's one of Amie's favorite epis. Mine too, and I can't wait till Tara comes in! I mean, I love Oz, but Tara! *squees* And all shy-still-psychologically-damaged-Tara who's stuttering up a storm, not independent-6th-season-Tara who wears leather and who I usually picture.
I got all my suitemates into Buffy, lol. First Sandra and I watched, but then I didn't want Rosanna to feel left out, and then Amie wanted to watch too (so she did a marathon style and watched them all back to back by herself, she's on Angel now. I'm impressed.) I love it :D It's a bonding experience AND I converted 3 more people. Plus it's so much fun to see people's reactions and go through the whole series again. Sandra loves Spike and hates Riley! And Rosanna thinks the Buffy/Angel is so tragic, while Amie just plain loves Angel, lol. But she also loves Spike, so I'm not upset.
Brenda's coming over for the whole weekend and I'm beyond thrilled. :) I really really really miss her, and any time I get to spend with her I'm like bouncing for joy inside. And we're spending like half of it with Erika, so it's a girl's weekend, just like old times. *happy sigh* Brendy and me are even gonna watch Buffy with Sandra on Saturday, so it's really like old times, but with a sprinkling of the new with the added awesome Sandra element.
Erika's uber-obsessed with Farmville now, which is cool cause I can have someone to obsess with me. Sandra looks at it with extreme disdain so it's a comfort I have someone else to freak out with when my crops are dying or they add new features. We were talking about it all day today, lol. I'm also still doing Yoville and now Sorority Life, so that takes up about 1-6 hours of my day depending how much time I forget goes by. It's sad really, what else I could put that time to use, but I keep getting pulled into the addicting Facebook applications.
I just registered for my classes next spring, and I'm excited about my Spirituality and Healing class I'm taking, to fulfill my Religion requirement. Erika's gonna be at Mason next semester, so she's basically gonna be living with me, so that'll be wonderful. No more alone time. Not that I'm that alone now, I get along really well with my suitemates, but I don't like be alone at all, so more time spent with best friend the better. Plus all those weekends she spends in Rhode Island to see her boyfriend won't detract from said best friend time in the Spring, added bonus.
School is going pretty well otherwise, though I'm way behind on my reading, which is normal for this time of year. I'm not really worried about anything but my Theory class, where I'm like half the textbook behind. It's a difficult textbook, and I SO do not wanna read it. Grr. I'm gonna try to catch up on all my reading this weekend, but we'll see how that goes. I don't have my laptop to distract me, but I also don't have a great track record when I don't wanna do something and I can watch TV or sleep instead. Speaking of TV, I'm also a month or so behind in all my shows, so once my laptop wakes up again I'm gonna shut myself in my room for a day or so and do nothing but catch up. Supernatural, Bones, Dollhouse, Glee, I miss you!
My grandfather's having more complications medically, so my Mom flew down to Alabama to help take some of the strain off her sister and mother, which scared the crap out of me. I was alredy scared in August when he was in the hospital for his emphysema, but he recovered and I started to feel better. Mom says he's doing a lot better now and they figured out was wrong, it's not too serious, but it's still making me fret. He's my favorite grandfather, he's so kind and loving. Every animal in a 5 mile radius to their home in rural Alabama just becomes tame when they see him, he has that way about him. Smokey adored him. *sigh* I'm not prepared for him to die, I'm much more ready for my great-grandmother to, since we've been ready for that for awhile now. But Gram's hangin on even though she wants to go to heaven, and Paw Paw Benton keeps stumbling. I'm gonna see him for Thanksgiving and for Christmas, and he is doing better, walking around and everything, but I hope he's here for many more years to come. I've never known someone I really cared about die, and I don't wanna start now.
I'm really looking forward to seeing all my family for Thanksgiving, cause it's weird being away from them for so long, and I get to see my extended family as well, which is always rare and therefore a nice surprise. I'm taking the train to get there, overnight, since it's cheaper. I haven't been on a train since I was 12, I'm so excited! Gonna get lots of fun reading done too :D I miss reading something I want to, instead of what I have to.
Gonna go play Farmville now, but I PROMISE it won't be such a long gap between updates next time. I just really hope I stick to that.
